Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Former two time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
